Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-23
This privacy policy explains what information Solitaire Grove collects, what we do not collect, and how third-party advertising and analytics on this site work.
Information we collect
This site offers free browser games and does not require an account. We do not ask for or store personal information such as names or email addresses, except when you choose to contact us by email.
No game data is uploaded anywhere. The cards you are dealt, your score and your move history stay in your own browser. A hand you have not finished yet is kept on your device so you can pick it up on your next visit, and is cleared as soon as you win it or deal a new one.
Our web server keeps ordinary access logs - the page requested, the time, a status code and the user agent - which are used only to keep the site working and are rotated away after a few days. We do not use them to build profiles, and we do not combine them with anything else.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which games are played and how pages perform. It loads only after you agree to analytics in the cookie notice - until then not a single request is made to it - and it is told to store nothing when you decline. Analytics data is aggregated: it tells us how many people played a game, not who they are. We do not build advertising profiles ourselves, and we do not sell data.
Cookie notice and your choices
On your first visit we show a cookie notice with three options - Accept all, Reject all and Customize. Rejecting is as easy as accepting: nothing non-essential is stored or read until you choose, and declining changes nothing about whether the games work.
The notice covers three groups of storage:
- Strictly necessary - always on. It keeps your answer to this notice and the state of a game you are playing (the cards on the board, your score, your daily-challenge streak). This stays on your own device and is never uploaded.
- Analytics - off until you agree. Aggregated counts of which games get played and how fast pages load.
- Advertising - off until you agree. Lets Google AdSense measure ads and match them to your interests. Without it ads, if shown, are not personalized.
Your choice is stored in your browser under sg_consent_v1, alongside the daily-challenge record under sg_daily_v1, the unfinished board under sg_save_v1 and your own tally under sg_stats_v1. All four can be deleted at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings, and none of them leaves your device.
You can change or withdraw your answer whenever you like: click Cookie Settings in the footer and the notice opens again with your current choices ticked. Where consent is required by law, we rely on Google's Consent Mode to make sure advertising and analytics storage stays switched off until you have opted in.
Third-party advertising and Google AdSense
Pages on this site may display advertising served by third-party networks. We currently intend to use Google AdSense, and Google may use cookies - including the DoubleClick cookie - to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or by visiting aboutads.info for a broader opt-out covering multiple networks. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking advertising cookies does not stop the games from working.
Do Not Track and consent
Advertising and analytics cookies are only set after you have made a choice in the cookie notice. We show that notice to every visitor rather than trying to guess your location, because guessing wrongly is worse than asking once. If you never press anything, nothing non-essential is stored - the default is off, not on. Browsers that send Do Not Track are treated the same as anyone else: we still ask, rather than assuming either answer.
Children's privacy
Our games are family-friendly but this site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly serve personalized ads to users under the age required by applicable law.
Data retention and your rights
Because we hold no accounts, there is no profile to correct or delete. If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence removed, contact us and we will delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over data held by our advertising partners - those requests should go to the partner concerned, whose policy governs their own processing.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
