Daily Solitaire Challenge: Play Today's Deal Free

The daily solitaire challenge gives you one deal a day, and it is the same deal for every player: same cards, same starting position, same puzzle. Choose Klondike, Spider, FreeCell or TriPeaks, try to solve today's board, and come back tomorrow for the next one. There is no download, no sign-up and no account - your streak is kept in your own browser.

How the daily solitaire challenge works

Each day brings four new boards - one per game - and you can attempt any or all of them. The board does not change as you play it: restarting gives you exactly the same cards back, because the deal is derived from the date rather than from a shuffle that happens when you press a button.

Today's four deals

GameCardsWhat counts as solvedHow often it falls
Klondike Draw 152 (one deck)All 52 cards on the four foundationsAbout 82% of deals are solvable; careful players win roughly 30-40%
Spider 1 Suit104 (two decks)All eight King-to-Ace runs completedClose to 99% of deals can be solved with patience and undo
FreeCell52 (one deck)All 52 cards on the four foundations99.97% of deals are solvable - only 8 in 32,000 are impossible
TriPeaks52 (one deck)All three peaks clearedRoughly 80-90% of deals for a player who plans the chains

How the deal is generated

There is no list of deals on a server and no account that remembers which one you are on. The board is calculated from the calendar date: the date becomes a day number, the day number is combined with the name of the game, and the result is used as the seed for the shuffle. Because the shuffle is seeded rather than random, the same date always produces the same order of cards - on a phone, on a laptop, in any country.

That has two consequences worth knowing. First, we cannot reroll an unlucky board: if today's Klondike deal is brutal, it is brutal for everyone, and the honest answer is to try again tomorrow or switch to FreeCell. Second, we do not publish solutions ahead of time, because the deal you are looking at was generated on your own device from a rule anyone could reproduce.

Daily challenge or random deals?

Daily solitaire challenge
One shared board per day. Good for comparison, for a habit, and for the feeling that the puzzle existed before you sat down.
Random deals
Every game page on this site shuffles a fresh deck on demand. Good for practice, for warming up, or for when today's board has beaten you twice.
Which to play
Most players do both: attempt the daily board first, then fall back on random deals on the game pages. Undo and restart exist in both modes.

Streaks, scores and privacy

Above the board you will see four numbers: whether today's deal is solved, your current streak, your best streak, and how many daily deals you have solved in total. A streak is a run of consecutive days on which you solved that game's board. If you have not solved today yet, the streak you see is the run that ended yesterday - it survives until midnight and then resets if today goes unsolved.

Scores, move counts and times are read straight from the game you just played, so they mean the same thing they mean everywhere else on this site: Klondike pays 5 points for turning a face-down card and 10 for a card on a foundation, Spider starts at 500 and charges a point per move, and TriPeaks pays one point per card in a chain. All of it stays in your browser; nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to log into.

How to approach today's board

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the daily solitaire challenge free?

Yes. Every daily board is free to play, with no download, no sign-up and no account. The site is supported by advertising rather than subscriptions, and nothing you do on the board is sent anywhere.

What time does the next daily solitaire challenge start?

At midnight in your own time zone. The board is calculated from your local calendar date, so the deal changes the moment your date does - not at a fixed global hour. Reloading the page after midnight gives you the new board.

Which games have a daily challenge?

Four of them: Klondike Draw 1, Spider Solitaire in its one-suit form, FreeCell and TriPeaks. Each has its own independent daily deal, so you can play one, some or all four on the same day. The tabs above the board switch between them.

Does everyone really get the same cards?

Yes. The shuffle is seeded from the date and the name of the game, not from anything about you or your device, so two people opening the page on the same date get an identical starting position. That is what makes a time or a move count comparable between players.

Where is today's solitaire daily challenge solution?

We do not publish solutions for the daily boards, and we cannot publish them in advance, because each deal is generated on your own device from the date. What we do give you is unlimited undo and a restart button that replays the same board, which is how most players work out a hard deal.

How is the solitaire streak counted?

A streak is the number of consecutive days on which you solved that game's daily board. Today counts as soon as you win it. If today is still unsolved, the number shown is the run ending yesterday, and it resets to zero if midnight passes without a win. Your best streak and total solved days are kept alongside it.

Do I need an account to keep my streak?

No, and that is deliberate. Your results are written to your browser's local storage and never leave your device, so there is nothing to log into - and nothing to lose if you clear site data, other than the streak itself.

Can I play yesterday's daily deal?

Not here. Deals are derived from the current date, so only today's board is available. If you want to replay a specific board or just keep playing, use the restart button for today's deal, or open the game page for unlimited random deals.

Can I play the daily solitaire challenge on my phone?

Yes. The games run in the browser and are tested from 320 pixels wide upward, with drag-and-drop or tap-to-move controls. Your streak follows you as long as you use the same browser, because it is stored on that device.
